In 2014 I founded a payment-processing fintech called Stax, which I had been keeping afloat one sale at a time. Not long after, a Fast Company cover titled "Meet The Woman Who Is Trying To Change The Credit Card Industry" made us an overnight sensation. Phones were, quite literally, ringing off the hook.
That moment changed everything for me. We lost so much opportunity then because we weren't ready that I vowed to build a business infrastructure that could withstand 10x sales.
8 years later, that idea took us to a billion-dollar valuation.

I had to learn from my own, often expensive mistakes. I didn’t know how to scale, how to hire, how to truly be a CEO.
I never went to CEO School… and when my business was at the verge of massive growth, I had no clue what to do – in fact, I had no idea I needed a different mindsets, different systems and strategies to get me from 6 figures to 7, and beyond.
